Biography

Gabriel Santos is one of the most compelling pianists of his generation, known for his technical precision, structural clarity, and profound interpretative sensitivity. His playing is characterized by the ability to reveal the most subtle layers of music, with refined sound and an unwavering attention to detail.

Gabriel began playing the piano at the age of six, developing a deeply personal relationship with the instrument through self-directed exploration before pursuing formal studies. His technical approach is always in service of musical logic, with solutions aimed not at display, but at the authentic expression of the work.

He currently studies with Brazilian pianist Karin Fernandes, whose technical rigor and interpretative sensitivity have been central influences in Gabriel’s formation. In addition, Gabriel has participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Dora Deliyska, Aristo Sham, Keith Jarrett, Yangyang Ruan, Anton Mejias, and more, while also deepening his studies with Fábio Martino and Érika Ribeiro.

In 2025, Gabriel toured Argentina in a series of solo recitals, and in 2026, he will perform across countries such as France, Germany, and Italy, alongside a series of recitals in Japan. He has already appeared at major venues such as Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, Splendor Amsterdam, and several other European cities.

His interpretations are marked by an economy of gesture and a perfect balance between the voices of the music, always seeking structural transparency and rhythmic stability. Gabriel approaches the piano not as a vehicle for technical display but as a means to reveal the inner workings of the music, allowing its architecture to emerge in a clear and organic way.

Gabriel regularly performs at major music festivals, including the Oficina de Música de Curitiba, and his upcoming performances include recitals in France, Germany, Italy, and Japan. He is recognized for his ability to interpret a wide range of repertoires, from classical to contemporary, with a combination of technical mastery and deep musical expression.
